Dart 16

The Dart 16 is a catamaran that is fast, affordable and fun. Its 16-foot hulls are moulded to include skegs, eliminating the need for daggerboards so simplifying the crew workload. Thermo-plastic construction makes it very impact and scratch resistant, needing little hull maintenance. Perfect for the beach at Worthing.

The Dart 16 is great for both beginners and the more experienced alike. If its too windy, the jib can be furled and the main can be reefed. Both these actions can easily be carried out at sea. The standard Dart 16 is designed to be sailed by a helm and trapezing crew using mainsail and jib. For those more adventurous, there is an optional asymmetric spinnaker kit that can be fitted.

There are quite a few Dart 16s at the club and several are sailed and raced regularly.
