Warmer weather is on the way, which calls for more races, & more Galley openings! We will be serving the Wednesday night 'Evening Series' starting on May 11th, as well as bank holidays, & the occassional 'Friday Fiasco'.

There will be lighter meals, as well as hearty ones, fish & chips & the occasional Sunday roast. There are always vegetarian or vegan, childrens', & healthy options, as well as sweet treats & puddings too. Keep an eye out for our weekly WhatsApp message to see what the specials are, or get in touch. Take away is also available.

The Galley is open on Good Friday, Easter Sunday & Monday with lots of specials including:

• Easter Sunday Two courses for £10.50: Roast lamb or celeriac (V) with roast potatoes, veg & gravy & lemon tart for dessert
  
• Salmon fish cakes with salad
  
• Sweet leek, red onion & Dolcelatte tart with thyme & parmesan crust
  
• Butternut squash soup with warm baguette
  

Jubilee Afternoon Tea Every Sunday from 8th May - 5th June

Book a proper Afternoon Tea & get your pinkies out to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee!

Minimum of two people & 48 hours notice are required to book. £12.50 per person with 10% to be donated to charity

Afternoon Tea is served on tiered cake stands & includes:

Buttermilk scones with clotted cream & jam

Finger sandwiches with:

cheddar cheese & chutney, egg & herb mayo, ham & piccalilli or flamed pimento (v)

Leek & Wensleydale tart (v)

Rich chocolate cake

Mini eclair

Tea or coffee

The Galley generally opens 2 hours before the race start time, and closes approximately 4 hours after the race starts. If racing is cancelled due to very bad weather, the Galley may close after breakfast unless there are bookings, so please get in touch. Booking is not necessary, but as we are usually only open one day a week, it guarantees your meal if it's busy, & it helps to eliminate any wastage if we know who might be coming for lunch.
